Marble floors and wall cladding

A marble floor is the longest-lasting investment you can make in a building: the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the Planetarium stand on marble that we cut and installed, and after decades and millions of visitors it is still there. The same work, with the same care, goes into a 40 m² living room or the entrance of an apartment building.

Marble floor at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall — cut and installed by SKARIS MARBLE

Floors

  • Large-format slabs (60×60, 80×80, 120×60 or free length) for fewer joints.
  • Patterns: borders, inlays, diamonds, combinations of two materials. We lay out the floor before cutting, so that the 3 mm joints “close” correctly and the pieces have whole, workable dimensions — no slivers at the edges.
  • Finish: polished for interiors, honed or textured for stairs, balconies and showers.
  • Re-polishing of old floors: grinding and crystallisation of marble that has gone dull.

Wall cladding

  • Slabs with continuous veining (book-match) for living-room, fireplace and reception walls.
  • Entrance and staircase cladding for apartment buildings.
  • Window sills, thresholds, shelves, ledges — the “small” pieces that make the difference in a renovation.

Materials

Greek whites: Thassos, Volakas, Dionyssos. Economical off-whites: Kavala, Nestos. Beige: Crema Marfil, Botticino. Dark: Nero Marquina, Emperador. Green: Veria Green. For outdoor areas, porous limestone (poros stone) and granites. The whole collection — 200+ materials — can be seen at the factory.

Price and quotation

The price depends on the material, the thickness, the cut-outs and the edge finishing — which is why we do not quote a blind “price per metre”. See what determines the price of marble and send us dimensions, a sketch or a drawing through the quote form: we reply with a written, itemised quotation and a delivery time.

Frequently asked questions

Slabs or marble tiles? Large slabs have fewer joints and a “richer” look; 30×60 / 40×40 tiles are more economical to install. In small rooms, large pieces make the space look bigger.

Is marble cold? It is ideal for underfloor heating — conductive, it holds and releases heat evenly.

How long does it last? Properly installed and periodically polished, longer than the building.

Do you also do small jobs — one sill, one threshold? Yes. We cut and deliver small pieces from stock within days.
