Marble prices: what determines the cost and how to get a proper quote

The most common question we hear on the phone is “how much per metre?”. The honest answer is “it depends” — on the material, the slab, the cut-outs and the installation. Below you can see which cost category each material belongs to and what raises or lowers the price, so that you know where you stand before you call us. The exact price comes from your dimensions through the quote form.

The scale from € to €€€€ is relative (€€€€ can cost several times €) and refers to the material; fabrication and installation are added. 3 cm thickness costs noticeably more than 2 cm, and very small quantities carry a minimum charge.

Prices for each type of work

Each type of work has its own page describing what it includes and how it is priced: kitchen worktops (per running metre), staircases (per step), floors and cladding (per m²), bathrooms, outdoor areas (window sills per running metre), fireplaces, cutting and custom fabrication and installation & maintenance (polishing–crystallisation per m²).

What raises or lowers the price

  • The material — the biggest difference. A Greek off-white and a Calacatta can be 5× apart.
  • Slab selection: “clean” pieces without flaws in the veining cost more than commercial grade.
  • Cut-outs and edges: sinks, curves, 4 cm edge build-up, bullnose.
  • Access: a floor without a lift, large one-piece elements.
  • Quantity: apartment buildings and projects get a project price.
