-Statuario Forest-
Description & Features
Statuario Forest comes from the Far East, from a range of quartz slabs produced with technologies other than Breton and shaped by hand, one by one, with small differences in layout. Its name fits the pattern: on a bright white background, a dense network of fine grey veins branches like the limbs of trees, with many almost parallel lines rising diagonally and others running down vertically. In some places the veins gather into clusters of mottled, cloudy grey, like crushed marble, that give rhythm to the surface. The tones stay light to mid grey, but the density of the veining makes the pattern fuller than a classic Statuario. Made of quartz grains and resin, the surface is non-porous, needs no sealing and resists stains; the values in the table are typical for quartz surfaces, as no technical sheet has been published for the product. The slab is delivered polished, and its thickness, like its size, is confirmed with the order. Its dense texture shows well on kitchen countertops and islands, as well as bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and interior stairs. A wipe with a damp cloth and a neutral detergent is enough for cleaning; hot cookware should not touch the surface directly, and permanent exposure to the sun should be avoided.
Why choose Statuario Forest
- Dense network of branch-like grey veins
- Clusters of cloudy grey for depth
- Lively movement across the whole surface
- Non-porous – no sealing
Technical Specifications
| Material | Engineered quartz composite – quartz grains bound with resin; each slab shaped individually by hand on non-Breton production lines |
| Color & Pattern | Bright white background with a dense network of fine grey veins and clusters of cloudy grey |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | Recommended for interiors; no freeze–thaw test data are published for this product and, because of the resin binder, permanent sun exposure (UV) can change the colour |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; no chemical-resistance class is published – avoid strong acids, alkalis and solvents |
| Recommended Finishes | Polished |
