-Travertine Q-
Description & Features
Travertine Q recreates on a quartz slab the look of travertine, the porous limestone (porolithos) found on countless Mediterranean buildings. It is produced in the Far East, where the slabs are formed one by one so that the patterns look natural. In the slab photo the background is ivory to off-white, crossed by horizontal, slightly wavy bands in sand-beige that alternate with brighter, almost white stripes – the characteristic striped look of travertine cut across its layers (vein cut). Small darker dots and granular areas imitate the pores of the natural stone, yet the surface is solid: as resin-bound quartz it is non-porous and needs neither sealing nor filling. The figures in the table are reference values for quartz surfaces, not measurements of this specific material, which are not published. It is offered polished, and thicknesses and slab sizes are confirmed with the quotation; because of the direction of the bands, careful planning of the cuts is needed so that the lines continue across joints. From kitchen countertops, vanity tops and islands to wall cladding, splashbacks, stairs and interior floors, it brings the warmth of stone wherever it is used. A damp cloth and a mild cleaner keep it clean; strong acids, solvents, hot cookware without a trivet and use outdoors in the sun are to be avoided.
Why choose Travertine Q
- Striped vein-cut travertine look on a quartz slab
- Travertine appearance with no open pores, filling or sealing
- Warm ivory-beige for Mediterranean-style schemes
- For countertops, cladding, stairs and interior floors
