-Artemis-
Description & Features
Artemis is a white marble for those looking for a clean, almost monochrome surface. The background is white, with a slightly cool, grey-blue cast in the shade, the grain is very fine and uniform, and the surface is enlivened only by small, sparse greyish specks and, here and there, soft hazy clouds. There are no strong veins, so the slabs combine easily with each other over large areas, without careful matching of the veining. As a carbonate rock it has a hardness in the order of 3–4 on the Mohs scale, like most white marbles, and it is sensitive to acids. It is available polished, for a bright, reflective surface that visually enlarges the space, or honed, which brings out its soft, velvety texture and better hides the marks of daily use. It is suited to wall cladding, interior floors, bathrooms and vanity tops, stairs and window sills, as well as furniture and decorative elements, while its restrained look pairs easily with wood, bronze or black metal details. Because stains from coffee, wine or oil show easily on white marble, sealing with a suitable sealer, immediate wiping of liquids and cleaning with neutral cleaners are recommended. For exterior use in areas with frost, the batch should be checked first.
Why choose Artemis
