-Babilon-
Description & Features
Among the six colours of the Loft series, which Belenco – a member of the LOTTE group – aims at those who like combinations with wood, metal and strong colours, Babilon stands out for its stony texture. The background is a deep grey with brownish warmth and a fine, almost sandy grain, with small darker specks and a faint network of very fine pale grey veinlets that show mainly up close; from a distance the slab reads as a solid dark stone. It is produced with Bretonstone technology and, according to Belenco's data, has water absorption of 0.04%, compressive strength of about 230 MPa, a mass loss of only 0.48% in the thermal shock test (EN 14617-6) and chemical resistance class C4. The polished version comes in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses, in Extra 152 × 310 cm and Jumbo 165 × 330 cm slabs, and the same colour is also available matt, as Babilon Seta. It suits islands and kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity tops and tables, as well as cladding, interior stairs and floors. Cleaning with a damp cloth and neutral liquid soap is enough; no sealing is needed, but very hot cookware needs a trivet and aggressive chemicals should be avoided.
Why choose Babilon
- Dark grey-brown with a natural-stone look
- Belenco Loft series (LOTTE group)
- Chemical resistance class C4 – no sealing
- Also available matt, as Babilon Seta

Export & project supply
SKARIS MARBLE supplies Babilon to stone importers, fabricators, architects and hotel projects outside Greece. From our facility in Thessaloniki we handle the whole order in-house:
- Slab selection and matching – we grade and match the slabs for colour and veining, so a large order stays uniform across the whole project.
- Cut-to-size and finishing – pieces cut, edged and finished to your drawings, numbered per room or elevation and ready to install.
- Mixed shipments – Greek marbles, granites, porous limestone (porolithos) and quartz surfaces can be combined in one order.
- Export packing – crated and labelled for sea or road freight, ex-works Thessaloniki; delivered terms quoted on request.
