-Calacatta Solara Gold-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
Calacatta Solara Gold by Coante (Ultra series) has a warm, almost ivory white background crossed by long, very fine golden-brown veins in parallel, flowing diagonals. An elegant quartz surface with a soft golden glow, ideal for kitchen countertops, islands, bathrooms and wall cladding.

Description & Features

Coante, based and producing in Muğla, Turkey, and selling in 31 countries, places Calacatta Solara Gold in the Ultra series of its Essence line. Its defining feature is a rhythmic, almost parallel flow: long, continuous, hair-thin veins in a golden-brown to bronze tone run diagonally over a warm, slightly ivory white background, with soft curves and a few crossings. Compared with the other gold designs in the series, such as Calacatta Aurora Gold, its lines are cleaner and more continuous, with fewer branches, and the background between them stays clear. As a Breton-technology quartz it is non-porous and durable: water absorption below 0.07%, flexural strength above 35 MPa, Mohs hardness 7 and impact resistance above 3.36 J at 20 mm thickness. It is produced in two slab sizes, 330 × 164 cm and 310 × 152 cm, and three thicknesses (15, 20 and 30 mm), polished or with a textured leather surface. It suits kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity tops, islands and wall cladding, where the long veins show to advantage across large surfaces. Care needs only a damp cloth and, when necessary, a neutral cleaner; hot cookware should always go on a trivet.
