Description & Features
Deep, warm red and horizontal veining give Aurea Stone's Flute the character of a layered stone. Bands of crimson and orange-red alternate with darker stripes of burgundy and plum-violet, while fine cream and golden lines follow the edges of the layers and add bright highlights; the movement is parallel and calm, but the colour is intense and theatrical. The material is made by Aurea Stone, which produces in Vietnam and China according to the EPD: it is not quartz but an RGS surface made from up to 90% recycled materials such as glass with resins, using crystalline-silica-free materials, and it is cut and fabricated like quartz. The Nano-Ink print is applied to one face and reaches up to 1 mm deep, so edges are best mitred. Aurea slabs are produced in 3200 × 1600 mm, 20 mm thick, with a polished finish; the horizontal veining shows especially well on long, continuous surfaces. It is suited to bar counters, islands, wall cladding, tables and bathroom vanity tops, for interior use only, as the warranty does not cover outdoor installations. The NEOS protectant keeps stains away; cleaning only needs a damp cloth with a neutral cleaner.
