-Lefkochrysos A (fine grain)-
Description & Features
Lefkochrysos is an Albanian calcitic stone sold as marble in three grain grades – A (fine grain), Medium (medium grain) and Standard (coarse grain) – and grade A is the finest and most uniform of the three. The slab has a bright cream-white background with a warm, slightly ivory tone, which explains the name, and a very fine, barely visible granular texture; it has no veins or visible fragments, so on large surfaces it gives a clean, seamless result. Polished, as in the photo, the surface takes on a strong shine and reflects light, making rooms look more spacious; on request it can also be given a honed, antiqued or brushed finish. For Lefkochrysos the table gives typical values for carbonate stones rather than test results for this variety. It is ideal for floors and wall cladding, stairs, window sills and door thresholds, as well as for bathrooms and furniture where a calm, bright look is wanted. Because the light colour shows stains more easily and calcitic stones are sensitive to acids, sealing from the outset and cleaning with neutral products are recommended.
Why choose Lefkochrysos A (fine grain)
- The finest-grained, cleanest grade of Lefkochrysos
- Bright cream-white without veins
- Seamless look on large surfaces
- High-gloss polish that reflects light
