-Lefkochrysos Standard (coarse grain)-
Description & Features
Lefkochrysos Standard is the most visually striking of the three grades of Lefkochrysos, the Albanian calcitic stone sold as marble in fine (A), medium (Medium) and coarse (Standard) versions. On a warm beige to light taupe background, dense fragments of different sizes stand out – cream and off-white angular pieces, beige grains and smaller grey-brown specks – forming a rich, almost breccia-like pattern without veins. This texture makes dust, marks and natural wear less noticeable, which is why the coarse grade is preferred in busy areas. In the photo the slab is polished, with a strong shine that brings out the contrast of the fragments; in a honed or antiqued finish the look becomes softer and more rustic, and it is also available brushed. The technical values in the table are given as typical for carbonate stones and are not test results for this variety. It suits stairs, entrance and commercial floors, window sills and door thresholds, wall cladding and fireplace surrounds. Like every calcitic stone, it etches on contact with acids and needs sealing, and the batch should be checked before exterior use in areas with frost.
Why choose Lefkochrysos Standard (coarse grain)
- Coarse-grain grade with a lively, natural character
- Fragments that hide dust and wear
- Keeps its looks in high-traffic areas
- Polish that highlights the contrast of the fragments
