-Magnetite-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
Anyone looking for a plain, dark material will find in Magnetite, from the Pure series (Coante Essence), a deep graphite grey with a dense, fine black grain and an even look with no veins. It brings an architectural, contemporary character and a consistent appearance from slab to slab – ideal for kitchen countertops, bathrooms and cladding.

Description & Features

Coante’s Essence line includes Magnetite in its Pure series: a dark, homogeneous grey without strong patterns. The surface is a deep graphite grey with a dense, fine grain of black and a few lighter particles, like fine salt-and-pepper sand, evenly distributed over the whole slab; as there are no veins, joints and pieces match each other easily. Coante, with a 105,000 m² plant in Muğla and an annual capacity of about 2 million m², makes the material from quartz grains, polyester resin and pigments with Breton technology. Its test data give impact resistance above 3.36 J on a 20 mm specimen, flexural strength class F4 (above 35 MPa) and water absorption class W4, below 0.07%. There are two slab sizes – Jumbo 330 × 164 cm and Medium 310 × 152 cm – 15, 20 or 30 mm thick, with a polished or Leather finish. It is suitable for kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding, interior stairs and floors, and creates strong contrasts with white or wooden furniture. It needs no sealing: a damp cloth is enough for daily care, with a trivet under hot cookware and no harsh chemicals.

Why choose Magnetite

  • Homogeneous graphite grey, no veins
  • Easy joints – consistent look slab to slab
  • Coante Essence, Pure series
  • Impact resistance > 3.36 J (20 mm specimen)
