-Nisyros-
Description & Features
Of all the designs in the printed quartz range, Nisyros is perhaps the most dramatic. Like the others, it is a quartz slab from the Far East, onto which the natural-stone pattern is printed by cold printing based on nanotechnology. The slab seems divided into two worlds: on one side a wide breccia-like band, with cream and ivory fragments enclosed by rusty, copper-coloured veins and dark, almost black patches, and on the other a clean white field with a fine web of grey and black cracks, crossed by long amber-brown lines. The quartz base ensures a non-porous surface with no sealing and high durability in everyday use. The slabs are 2 cm thick with a polished face and are fabricated like ordinary quartz slabs. Because the pattern is large-scale, it is worth planning the position of the cuts in advance so that the dark band falls where you want it – on an island, a kitchen countertop, wall cladding or a bathroom vanity top. It cleans easily with a damp cloth and a neutral cleaner; avoid hot cookware placed directly on it, strong acids and sunny outdoor areas.
Why choose Nisyros
- Dramatic contrast of white, rust and black
- Large-scale pattern for statement islands
- 2 cm printed quartz slab, polished
- Non-porous and easy to care for

| Color & Pattern | Bright white background with grey and black cracks and a wide diagonal breccia band in cream, rust-brown and black |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | Recommended for interiors – no freeze–thaw data are given, and the resin in quartz surfaces can discolour under permanent sun exposure (UV) |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; avoid strong acids, alkalis and solvents (no chemical-resistance class stated) |

Export & project supply
SKARIS MARBLE supplies Nisyros to stone importers, fabricators, architects and hotel projects outside Greece. From our facility in Thessaloniki we handle the whole order in-house:
- Slab selection and matching – we grade and match the slabs for colour and veining, so a large order stays uniform across the whole project.
- Cut-to-size and finishing – pieces cut, edged and finished to your drawings, numbered per room or elevation and ready to install.
- Mixed shipments – Greek marbles, granites, porous limestone (porolithos) and quartz surfaces can be combined in one order.
- Export packing – crated and labelled for sea or road freight, ex-works Thessaloniki; delivered terms quoted on request.
