-Primavera Grey-
Description & Features
Primavera Grey gives stone a calm, architectural character. This Spanish granite is medium-grained, with a dense, even mix of white, grey and black grains, so that from a distance the surface reads as a uniform mid grey and close up as a fine salt-and-pepper. The slabs are consistent in tone and pattern, without veins, which helps on large surfaces and in cladding with repeated pieces. Compared with Primavera Bianco, Primavera Grey is noticeably darker, with more dark grains, and when polished it takes on a deeper grey tone, while flamed, bush-hammered or sandblasted finishes lighten the shade and provide a slip-resistant surface for exterior facades, floors and stairs. No published tests were found for this trade name, so the technical table gives typical granite values (density 2.6–2.7 g/cm³, hardness 6–7 Mohs, low water absorption). It is suited to kitchen and bathroom countertops, floors, stairs, window sills, facade cladding, paving and kerbs. As a silicate rock it withstands everyday acids; on countertops sealing and cleaning with neutral products are recommended.
Why choose Primavera Grey
- Clean, uniform mid grey without veins
- Ideal for facades and repeated pieces
- Slip-resistant finishes for outdoor areas
- Not etched by everyday acids
Technical Specifications
| Geological Type | Igneous plutonic rock – granite (feldspars, quartz, dark minerals) |
| Country of Origin | Spain |
| Color & Pattern | Uniform mid grey – dense mix of white, grey and black grains (salt-and-pepper) in a medium grain |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈6–7 (typical for granite: feldspar ≈6, quartz 7) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.6–2.7 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Water Absorption (%) | ≈0.1–0.5 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Compressive Strength (MPa) | ≈130–220 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Flexural Strength (MPa) | ≈10–20 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Frost Resistance | Generally resistant – granites with low water absorption are widely used for facades and paving; on exterior walking surfaces choose a flamed or bush-hammered finish (no test found for this variety) |
| Acid Sensitivity | Resistant – as a silicate rock it is not etched by everyday acids; avoid strong acids and descaling cleaners, which dull the polish |
| Recommended Finishes | Polished, Flamed, Bush-hammered & sandblasted, Honed, leathered, hydrojet on request |
