-Calacatta Grigio-
Description & Features
Calacatta Grigio comes from a range of quartz surfaces behind which stand three Far East companies with production lines other than Breton and hand shaping of every slab – which is why the layout of the white lines changes from slab to slab. The background is a uniform charcoal grey with no visible grain, and crisp white veins are drawn across it, with a light grey core in places. The veins are long and fairly straight, taper at their ends and cross in two main directions – rising diagonals and near-horizontals – with fine offshoots, creating a clear, strong contrast that recalls dark grey marbles with white veining, such as Pietra Grey. Thanks to its quartz-and-resin composition it absorbs practically no liquid and needs no sealing; as no technical data have been published, the table lists the typical values of quartz surfaces. It is supplied polished, with slab size and thickness to be confirmed. In modern kitchens it works as a countertop or island, and it also suits bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and tables. A damp cloth with a mild detergent is enough for cleaning; avoid hot cookware directly on the surface, strong chemicals and permanent sun.
Why choose Calacatta Grigio
- White veins on charcoal – an inverted Calacatta
- Uniform dark background with no visible grain
- Strong, modern contrast
- Non-porous – no sealing needed
