-Calacatta Valiente-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
Calacatta Valiente is a Coante quartz surface with a white background and soft, cloudy grey veins of medium width that sweep in broad, wavy diagonals, as in classic Calacatta. A subtle, elegant design with the practical advantages of quartz, for kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands and cladding.

Description & Features

Calacatta Valiente is a long-vein design by Coante, the Turkish producer founded in 2018 in Muğla by the Ermaş group. Soft, cloudy grey veins of medium width spread over a white background with a faint grey tint, with a granular, smoky texture and fine darker lines inside them; they move in broad, wavy diagonals with low contrast and recall the soft veining of classic Calacatta marble. Coante makes its quartz with Breton technology: quartz grains, polyester resin and pigments are vibro-compacted and cured into a solid, non-porous slab, with water absorption that does not reach 0.07%, flexural strength over 35 MPa and Mohs hardness 7. The brand's slabs are produced in 330 × 164 and 310 × 152 cm and in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses; for this specific design, sizes and finishes are confirmed at the ordering stage. It is suited to kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands, wall cladding and interior stairs. It cleans with a damp cloth and a neutral cleaner, without abrasives, and hot cookware always needs a trivet.

Why choose Calacatta Valiente

  • Low contrast – a calm, subtle look
  • Coante data: water absorption < 0.07%
