Belenco's Essential series puts the emphasis on simplicity and functionality, and Elixir White is a typical example. It is produced by Lotte Chemical Turkey, the LOTTE group company to which Belenco belongs, on Bretonstone lines in Manisa. The surface has an off-white, slightly greyish background sprinkled with countless tiny dark grey dots, like fine pepper, without veins or large grains; from a distance the colour reads as a soft light grey-white, while up close the fine-grained texture shows. Belenco's technical data give water absorption of 0.04%, density of 2.3–2.4 g/cm³, flexural strength ≥ 40 MPa (F4) and compressive strength of about 230 MPa, while in the freeze–thaw test the KMf25 coefficient is 0.98. Belenco presents it in a polished finish, with 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses and Extra 152 × 310 cm and Jumbo 165 × 330 cm slabs. Its practical texture makes it suitable for kitchen countertops in heavy daily use, bathrooms and islands, as well as splashbacks, tables and furniture. A damp cloth with a few drops of neutral soap is enough for daily cleaning; the surface needs no sealing and only has to be protected from hot cookware, solvents and strong acids.
