-Amorgos-
Description & Features
Amorgos belongs to a printed quartz range: quartz slabs from Far East producers, onto which natural-stone patterns are printed using a cold printing technology based on nanotechnology. Here the theme is a white marble with character: across a bright, almost pure white background runs a network of fine, branching veins in gold, ochre and brown, accompanied by broader veining in grey-green and blue-grey tones; the movement is mainly diagonal, denser towards one side of the slab, and recalls a Calacatta-type marble. The quartz base makes the surface non-porous with no need for sealing, and the quartz body gives it high durability in everyday use. The slabs are 2 cm thick with a polished face and cut as easily as an ordinary quartz slab. It suits kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and splashbacks, as well as tables. Cleaning only needs a damp cloth with a mild neutral detergent; avoid hot cookware placed directly on the surface, strong chemicals and permanent sun exposure.
Why choose Amorgos
- Calacatta look with golden and grey-green veins
- Stone pattern printed on a quartz base
- 2 cm slab – cuts like any quartz slab
- Non-porous surface – no sealing
Technical Specifications
| Material | Engineered quartz slab with a printed pattern – cold printing based on nanotechnology |
| Color & Pattern | Bright white background with fine golden-brown veins and broader grey-green veining in a diagonal flow |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | Recommended for interiors – no freeze–thaw data are given, and the resin in quartz surfaces can discolour under permanent sun exposure (UV) |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; avoid strong acids, alkalis and solvents (no chemical-resistance class stated) |
| Recommended Finishes | Polished |

Export & project supply
SKARIS MARBLE supplies Amorgos to stone importers, fabricators, architects and hotel projects outside Greece. From our facility in Thessaloniki we handle the whole order in-house:
- Slab selection and matching – we grade and match the slabs for colour and veining, so a large order stays uniform across the whole project.
- Cut-to-size and finishing – pieces cut, edged and finished to your drawings, numbered per room or elevation and ready to install.
- Mixed shipments – Greek marbles, granites, porous limestone (porolithos) and quartz surfaces can be combined in one order.
- Export packing – crated and labelled for sea or road freight, ex-works Thessaloniki; delivered terms quoted on request.
Send us your drawings or quantities and we will come back with a quotation and availability.
