-Keramos-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
Dense, small, curling veins from light grey to charcoal, spread evenly over a white background: this is the look of Keramos, a Coante quartz surface from the Antique series of the Essence line. It combines the appearance of marble with clean modern lines and stands up well to everyday use in kitchens and bathrooms.

Description & Features

Inspired, as Coante notes, by nature's artistry, Keramos from the Antique series (Essence line) overlays the white with a dense, fine grey texture. Small, curved and curling veins spread across the whole slab, mostly in mid grey, with darker charcoal touches and tiny dark specks, and no dominant direction; the pattern is livelier than a plain white yet remains calm and even from edge to edge. Coante produces its slabs in Muğla, south-west Turkey, with Breton technology: quartz, polyester resin and pigments are vibro-compressed into a compact, non-porous mass, with water absorption below 0.07%, Mohs hardness 7 and abrasion resistance class A4 according to the manufacturer's data. The slabs come in Jumbo (330 × 164 cm) and Medium (310 × 152 cm) sizes, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses, with a polished or leather finish. It is suited to kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands, splashbacks, stairs and interior floors. It cleans with a damp or microfibre cloth and a neutral cleaner; it needs no sealer or polish, and hot cookware always calls for a trivet.
