-Lefkochrysos Medium (medium grain)-
Description & Features
Of the three grades of Lefkochrysos – an Albanian calcitic stone sold as marble – Medium sits between the fine-grained A and the coarse-grained Standard, combining a calm colour with a visible, lively texture. The background is a light greige, earthier than the cream-white A, and it is evenly covered with dense, small grains in off-white, beige and grey-brown that, from a distance, create a soft, almost fabric-like effect without veins. Thanks to this texture the surface hides dust, footprints and minor wear far better than the brighter grade A. In the photo the slab is polished, with a good shine, and on request it can be honed, antiqued or brushed. As with the other grades, the values in the table are typical for carbonate stones rather than test results for this variety. It is suited to floors in homes and commercial spaces, stairs, window sills and door thresholds, wall cladding and bathrooms. As a calcitic stone it is sensitive to acids, so it needs sealing and cleaning with neutral products, while for kitchen countertops more resistant materials are preferable.
Why choose Lefkochrysos Medium (medium grain)
- Medium grain – a balance of calm and texture
- Greige salt-and-pepper look without veins
- Hides dust and everyday marks
- Ideal for stairs, sills and floors
