-Midnight Corvo-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
Midnight Corvo is a Coante quartz surface in deep black, crossed diagonally by broad, cloudy bands of fine white-grey vein mesh that look like frost. A dramatic, dark design with the durability and low maintenance of quartz, for countertops, islands and cladding with strong character.

Description & Features

Midnight Corvo is a long-vein design by Coante, the Turkish quartz-surface producer based in Muğla. The background is a deep, almost pure black, crossed diagonally by two main broad bands of a very fine, mesh-like white-grey pattern, like lace or frost, with smaller hazy traces at the edges and scattered light specks over the rest of the background. These are not crisp lines but soft, cloudy veins that give depth to the black. Coante makes its quartz with Breton technology from quartz grains, polyester resin and pigments; according to its technical data, the material absorbs less than 0.07% water, exceeds 35 MPa in flexural strength, has Mohs hardness 7 and falls in class A4 for abrasion resistance. Its slabs are made in 330 × 164 and 310 × 152 cm and in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses; for this specific design, sizes and finishes are confirmed at the ordering stage. It is suited to kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and tables. It cleans with a damp or microfibre cloth and a neutral cleaner, with a trivet for hot cookware.
