-Mystic Blue-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
Mystic Blue by Coante (Antique series, Essence) is a dark quartz surface with a near-black background full of tiny white dots and faint grey veinlets, while the manufacturer describes blue-black tones with blue glints in the light. Minimal yet commanding, it suits kitchen countertops, islands and bathrooms.

Description & Features

Dark but not flat, Mystic Blue from the Antique series (Coante’s Essence line) is aimed at those who want a dark surface with discreet movement. In the photo the background reads almost black and is sprinkled with countless tiny white dots, like a starry sky, while faint, curving grey veinlets appear here and there; according to the manufacturer, its deep blue-black tones give off soft blue glints when light falls on them, so it is worth seeing a real sample up close. It is produced in Muğla, Turkey, on Breton lines from quartz grains bound with polyester resin, and according to Coante’s data it absorbs less than 0.07% water and is rated class A4 for abrasion resistance and C4 for chemical resistance. It comes with a polished or Leather surface, 1.5, 2 or 3 cm thick and in slabs up to 330 × 164 cm. It is suited to kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and furniture surfaces. It needs no sealer or polish; a damp cloth, a neutral cleaner for stubborn stains and a trivet under hot cookware are enough.

  • Black with white dots, like a starry sky
  • Blue glints in the light (according to Coante)
