-Nero Specchio-
Description & Features
Nero Specchio is a mirror-chip quartz surface (specchio means mirror in Italian) from a range whose slabs are made in the Far East, one by one, on production lines other than Breton's. The background is a deep, uniform black, and small mirror chips scattered through the body catch the light and sparkle as white-silver points, some like pinheads and others slightly larger. Their arrangement is random and sparse, so the black dominates and the sparkle appears discreetly, depending on the angle of the light, like a night sky with stars. Like any quartz surface with resin, it is non-porous and needs no sealing; no specific test values have been published for Nero Specchio, so the technical data in the table are those typical of the material. The polish is intense, almost mirror-like, and thickness and size details are given with the quotation. As a kitchen countertop or island, a bar or reception counter, a bathroom countertop or wall cladding, the sparkling black creates an elegant, evening atmosphere. To keep the sparkle clear, dry the surface with a soft cloth after wiping it with a damp cloth and a neutral cleaner; strong chemicals and hot cookware placed directly on the surface should be avoided.
Why choose Nero Specchio
- Deep black with sparkling mirror chips
- Subtle starry-sky sparkle
- Intense, almost mirror-like polish
- Non-porous – no sealing needed

| Color & Pattern | Deep black background with scattered sparkling white-silver points from mirror chips |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | For interior use – no freeze–thaw data are given for this product, and the resin binder of quartz surfaces is not suited to permanent sun exposure (UV can change the colour) |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; no chemical-resistance class is given, so strong acids, alkalis and solvents should be avoided |
