-Arte Black-
Description & Features
Coante produces quartz in Muğla, south-west Turkey, on Breton-technology lines, and places Arte Black in the Allure series of its Essence line. It is an almost pure, deep black on which fine white to light grey veins move in long, gently wavy diagonals, while a few light specks subtly break the uniformity. The look recalls black marble with white veining, with the difference that the appearance stays more consistent from slab to slab. As an engineered quartz composite it is solid and non-porous: Coante states water absorption below 0.07%, Mohs hardness 7, flexural strength above 35 MPa and chemical resistance class C4. It is produced in 330 × 164 cm and 310 × 152 cm slabs, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses, with a polished surface or a textured leather finish that gives a more matt, silky look. It suits kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and tables, from minimalist to industrial settings. Care needs only a damp or microfibre cloth; always cut on a cutting board, place hot cookware on a trivet and do not use polishing or protective products.
