-Primavera Bianco-
Description & Features
Primavera Bianco is a Spanish granite in a bright white-grey shade, with a gentle, uniform look that pairs easily with wood, white cabinetry and stainless steel. Close up, a white background of feldspar and quartz is dotted with dense, small grey and black grains and occasional beige tones; the grain is fine to medium and the look is consistent from slab to slab, without veins, ideal for islands and floors where continuity is needed. It should not be confused with the Italian marble Bianco Primavera or the Brazilian Primavera granite, which look completely different. No published tests were found for this variety, so the technical table gives typical granite values (density 2.6–2.7 g/cm³, hardness 6–7 Mohs, low water absorption). Polished, it brings out the brightness of the background and honed it takes on a softer look, while flamed, bush-hammered or sandblasted finishes give slip-resistant surfaces for exterior floors, stairs and paving. It is suited to kitchen and bathroom countertops, floors, stairs, window sills and wall or facade cladding. As a silicate rock it withstands kitchen acids; because of its light colour, countertops should be sealed so that oils and colourants do not leave shadows.
Why choose Primavera Bianco
- Bright white-grey salt-and-pepper, uniform across the slab
- Pairs easily with wood, white and stainless steel
- Hard granite for indoor and outdoor use
- Slip-resistant finishes for patios and pavements
Technical Specifications
| Geological Type | Igneous plutonic rock – granite (feldspars, quartz, dark minerals) |
| Country of Origin | Spain |
| Color & Pattern | White background with dense fine grey and black specks and occasional beige tones; fine to medium, even grain |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈6–7 (typical for granite: feldspar ≈6, quartz 7) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.6–2.7 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Water Absorption (%) | ≈0.1–0.5 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Compressive Strength (MPa) | ≈130–220 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Flexural Strength (MPa) | ≈10–20 (typical for granite – no test found for this variety) |
| Frost Resistance | Generally resistant – granites with low water absorption withstand freeze–thaw cycles; for exterior floors, stairs and paving choose a flamed, bush-hammered or sandblasted finish (no test found for this variety) |
| Acid Sensitivity | Resistant – as a silicate rock it is not etched by lemon, vinegar or wine; avoid strong acids and descaling cleaners, which damage the sealer |
| Recommended Finishes | Polished, Honed, Flamed & bush-hammered, Leathered, sandblasted, hydrojet on request |
