Quartz Turkey
Origin: Muğla, south-west Turkey – Coante plant
In Coante’s Pure series (Essence), Regina is a quartz surface in a warm, light putty grey, with a very fine grain of dark and light specks and no veins at all. Neutral but not cold, it gives kitchens and bathrooms a calm backdrop with the strength of quartz.

Description & Features

With Regina, the Pure series of Coante’s Essence line offers a grey that balances between cool and warm. The background is a light grey with a slightly warm, beige undertone – close to the colour of putty – and the surface has a very fine, even grain of tiny dark and light specks, with no veins; from a distance it looks almost solid, while up close it gains a discreet texture. It is produced in Muğla, south-west Turkey, by Coante, a company founded by the Ermaş group in 2018, from quartz grains bound with polyester resin on Breton lines. The manufacturer’s technical data give a density of 2–2.5 g/cm³, water absorption below 0.07% and a Mohs hardness of 7, while in the freeze–thaw test the KMf25 coefficient is 0.98. Regina is offered with a polished or Leather surface, 15, 20 or 30 mm thick, from 330 × 164 cm or 310 × 152 cm slabs, and is covered by Coante’s warranty of up to 15 years against manufacturing defects. On kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands, splashbacks, interior stairs and floors it acts as a soft, neutral base. Daily care is limited to wiping with a damp cloth; for stubborn stains a neutral cleaner is used, never abrasives or steel wool.
