-Statuario Oro-
Description & Features
Statuario Oro comes from a range of quartz slabs by three Far East producers who work with their own technologies instead of Breton lines and make each slab individually, by hand. The slab has a bright white background with a slightly cool tone, on which fine veins in a golden-ochre colour, with a granular texture, start diagonally and branch into irregular cells along its whole length; beside them, faint grey veins act as a shadow and add depth. The result recalls white marble with golden veins (oro means gold in Italian), without natural marble's sensitivity to stains, since the quartz-and-resin mix has no pores and needs no sealer or wax. The producer gives no test data for the colour; the values quoted, such as a hardness of around 7 Mohs, are those typical of the material. The finish is polished; slab size and thickness are provided on request. It is suited to kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom countertops, splashbacks and wall cladding, where the golden lines go well with bronze or gold fittings. It needs a trivet under hot cookware and cleaning with mild, neutral products, away from strong acids, alkalis and solvents.
Why choose Statuario Oro
- Golden veins on a bright white background
- Faint grey shadow veins add depth to the pattern
- Goes well with bronze and gold fittings
- Non-porous surface – no sealer or wax
Technical Specifications
| Material | Engineered quartz composite – quartz grains bound with resin, slabs produced one at a time (not Breton technology) |
| Color & Pattern | Bright, cool white background with a fine network of golden-ochre veins and faint grey shadows |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | For interior use – no freeze–thaw data are given for this product, and the resin binder of quartz surfaces is not suited to permanent sun exposure (UV can change the colour) |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; no chemical-resistance class is given, so strong acids, alkalis and solvents should be avoided |
| Recommended Finishes | Polished |
