-Calacatta Vivaldi Gold-
Description & Features
Calacatta Vivaldi Gold is the golden version of Calacatta Vivaldi in the Ultra series of Coante's Essence line. The composition stays restrained – a few fine veins meandering diagonally with small zigzags and leaving large clean areas – but the veins take on a copper-gold colour with ochre tones and small rust-coloured dots along them, on a soft white background with a slightly warm tint. Compared with Calacatta Aurora Gold the veins here are much sparser, so the surface reads mainly as white with golden touches. Coante belongs to the Ermaş group, a marble and travertine producer since 1985, and makes the material with Breton technology; it is non-porous, with water absorption below 0.07%, flexural strength above 35 MPa, Mohs hardness 7 and abrasion resistance class A4, and the company gives a warranty of up to 15 years against manufacturing defects. Slabs are available in 330 × 164 cm and 310 × 152 cm, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses, polished or with a leather finish. It is ideal for kitchen countertops and islands, as well as bathroom vanity tops, tables and wall cladding. Daily care is limited to a damp cloth; it needs a trivet under hot cookware, and strong chemicals such as hydrochloric acid must be avoided.
