-Bianco Specchio-
Description & Features
Among the mirror-chip colours (Nero, Beige and Bianco Specchio), Bianco Specchio is the white version – a uniform, vein-free surface. Like the others, it comes from Far East producers who work outside Breton technology and make each slab separately. Across a bright white background with a slightly cool tone spreads a dense but fine scatter of small grains in light and dark grey, some elongated and a few almost black, together with mirror chips that sparkle discreetly when the light strikes them. The grain is fine and evenly distributed, so the image stays fresh and clean, with no direction. As a quartz-and-resin material it is non-porous and needs no sealer or wax; since no technical data are given for the product itself, the reference values are those of quartz surfaces in general. The surface is polished with strong reflection; slab thickness and size are confirmed before ordering. It is suited to kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom and vanity tops, splashbacks and furniture surfaces, wherever light is wanted without a strong pattern. For daily care a microfibre cloth with a little neutral cleaner is enough; hot pans should not be set down directly, and strong chemicals stay out.
Why choose Bianco Specchio
- Bright white with fine grey grains
- Mirror chips for a subtle sparkle
- Uniform look – easy matching of pieces
- Non-porous – no sealer or wax
Technical Specifications
| Material | Engineered quartz composite – quartz grains bound with resin, with mirror chips; slabs produced one at a time (not Breton technology) |
| Color & Pattern | White background with a fine, dense scatter of light and dark grey grains and mirror chips |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | For interior use – no freeze–thaw data are given for this product, and the resin binder of quartz surfaces is not suited to permanent sun exposure (UV can change the colour) |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; no chemical-resistance class is given, so strong acids, alkalis and solvents should be avoided |
