-Calacatta Edera-
Description & Features
In the Allure series of its premium Essence line, Coante – the quartz-surface producer based in Muğla, south-west Turkey – presents Calacatta Edera as a modern, restrained take on classic white marble. The background is a clean, bright white, while hair-thin grey veins unfold in several directions, sometimes continuous and sometimes broken into short segments, forming a sparse, airy network; the manufacturer points out that the white reflects light and makes rooms feel more spacious. The slabs are vibro-compressed on Breton lines from quartz particles, polyester resin and pigments, so the surface is non-porous, with water absorption below 0.07% (W4), Mohs hardness 7 and chemical resistance class C4 according to Coante's data. It is available polished and in a textured leather finish, in Jumbo 330 × 164 cm and Medium 310 × 152 cm slabs, with 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses. It suits kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands, splashbacks, wall cladding and tables. Care needs only a damp cloth and, where necessary, a neutral cleaner; abrasives, solvents and direct contact with hot cookware should be avoided.
