Belenco describes the Prestige series, to which Calacatta Garda belongs, as the most advanced example of the long-vein technology it uses in production. Here the result evokes Calacatta marble in a gentle, understated way: the background is almost pure white, and across it spread wide bands in a very soft, almost translucent grey, which branch, merge and form a loose net over the whole slab; along their edges, fine darker grey touches add depth without reducing the brightness. It is made in Manisa with Bretonstone technology from quartz grains bound with resin, so the surface is compact and non-porous: Belenco states water absorption of 0.04%, compressive strength of about 230 MPa and abrasion resistance class A4. It is produced in a polished finish, in Extra (152 × 310 cm) and Jumbo (165 × 330 cm) slabs 15, 20 or 30 mm thick, and is also available in a bookmatch version, with mirror-image slabs for symmetrical layouts; the series is also offered in a matt Seta finish, with availability on request. The low contrast makes it a versatile choice for kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanity tops, wall cladding and interior stairs. Care only needs a damp cotton cloth with a little neutral soap, with attention to hot cookware and strong chemicals.
