-Calacatta Riviera-
Description & Features
In Coante's catalogue the design appears as Calacatta Riviera Ultra, in the Ultra series of the Essence line, inspired by the Mediterranean coast. The background is a brilliant, almost pure white on which the veins form not simple lines but lacy, foam-like clusters in a grey-blue shade: a broad wavy band crosses the upper part of the slab and finer branches spread towards the centre and the base, like traces of a wave. The same lacy composition exists in warm beige tones in Tenera Ultra. The material is made with Breton technology from quartz grains, resin and pigments; it is non-porous, with water absorption below 0.07% (W4), flexural strength above 35 MPa (F4), Mohs hardness 7 and chemical resistance C4, and Coante holds NSF certification for food contact. It comes in Jumbo (330 × 164 cm) and Medium (310 × 152 cm) slabs, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses, polished or leather. It suits contemporary kitchen countertops, spa-like bathrooms, islands and wall cladding where the pattern becomes the centrepiece. It cleans with a damp or microfibre cloth, without steel wool, abrasive powders or polishes.
