No veins, no flecks: Elysee, from the Pure series of the premium Essence line, is a clean, solid white by Coante – the Turkish producer, founded in 2018 by the Ermaş group, whose quartz slabs are sold in 31 countries. The slab has an even, neutral white colour across its whole surface, with no veining, grains or tonal variation; the manufacturer describes it as a clean, calm surface that needs no embellishment to stand out and that freshens the room by reflecting light. As a compact composite of quartz particles, polyester resin and pigments, vibro-compressed on Breton lines, it is non-porous, with water absorption below 0.07% (class W4), Mohs hardness 7, flexural strength above 35 MPa (F4) and chemical resistance class C4. It is produced polished or in a textured leather finish, in Jumbo 330 × 164 cm and Medium 310 × 152 cm slabs, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses. It works equally well on kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom vanity tops, splashbacks, wall cladding and furniture, especially where clean lines are wanted. Daily cleaning only needs a damp or microfibre cloth, while abrasives, harsh chemicals and hot cookware placed directly on the surface should be avoided.
