-Torino-
Description & Features
Torino belongs to a range that brings together quartz surfaces from three experienced Far East producers; their slabs do not come off Breton lines but from their own plants, and each one is made separately, in a manual process. Across a full slab, Torino shows a milky white background with a slightly warm tone and faint, cloudy shading, over which fine grey veins move diagonally in almost parallel lines. The veins are not continuous: they are formed by small grey grains, they break, branch and here and there gather into small knots, leaving large clear areas between them. This keeps the image light and airy, close to white marbles with sparse veining. It has no pores, so it needs no sealing and stands up to kitchen stains; no numerical test data are available for this colour, and the table gives only typical figures for quartz surfaces. The polished surface reflects light strongly; slab thickness and size are set when the quotation is prepared. It is a calm choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands, splashbacks and interior floors. Hot cookware needs a trivet, and cleaning is done with water and a mild washing-up liquid, without acids or solvents.
Why choose Torino
- Fine, broken grey veins in a calm diagonal flow
- Milky white background with a warm tone
- Each slab made separately – natural variation
- No pores – stands up to kitchen stains
Technical Specifications
| Material | Engineered quartz composite – quartz grains bound with resin, slabs produced one at a time (not Breton technology) |
| Color & Pattern | Milky white background with a warm tone, faint clouding and fine, broken grey veins in a diagonal layout |
| Hardness (Mohs) | ≈7 (typical for quartz surfaces) |
| Density (g/cm³) | ≈2.3–2.5 (typical range for quartz surfaces – not stated for this product) |
| Water Absorption (%) | Very low (typically < 0.1% for quartz surfaces – no value stated for this product) |
| Frost Resistance | For interior use – no freeze–thaw data are given for this product, and the resin binder of quartz surfaces is not suited to permanent sun exposure (UV can change the colour) |
| Acid Sensitivity | High stain resistance thanks to the non-porous surface; no chemical-resistance class is given, so strong acids, alkalis and solvents should be avoided |
| Recommended Finishes | Polished |

Export & project supply
SKARIS MARBLE supplies Torino to stone importers, fabricators, architects and hotel projects outside Greece. From our facility in Thessaloniki we handle the whole order in-house:
- Slab selection and matching – we grade and match the slabs for colour and veining, so a large order stays uniform across the whole project.
- Cut-to-size and finishing – pieces cut, edged and finished to your drawings, numbered per room or elevation and ready to install.
- Mixed shipments – Greek marbles, granites, porous limestone (porolithos) and quartz surfaces can be combined in one order.
- Export packing – crated and labelled for sea or road freight, ex-works Thessaloniki; delivered terms quoted on request.
