Quartz Turkey
Origin: Manisa Organised Industrial Zone (Belenco – Lotte Chemical plant)
Calacatta Veneto is a quartz surface from Belenco's Prestige series, in which long, gently curving mid-width grey veins with darker outlines run diagonally across a bright white background. A classic marble aesthetic with rhythm and movement, in a material that needs no sealing – ideal for kitchen countertops, islands and wall cladding.

Description & Features

Referencing the classic white marbles with grey veining, Calacatta Veneto organises its pattern into long, gently curving veins that move diagonally along the whole length of the slab. Each vein is a soft grey band of medium width, outlined by fine, darker grey details, with wide fields of bright white left between them. It is part of Belenco's Prestige series; the producer, part of the Korean LOTTE group since 2019, works in Manisa with the Italian Bretonstone technology. As a quartz surface with a resin binder it is non-porous and stain resistant; Belenco states water absorption of 0.04%, compressive strength of about 230 MPa (dry specimen) and a thermal expansion coefficient of 19.7 × 10⁻⁶/°C. With a polished surface and 15, 20 or 30 mm thicknesses, Calacatta Veneto comes in Jumbo (165 × 330 cm) or Extra (152 × 310 cm) slabs, and for symmetrical layouts there is also a bookmatch version, with slabs that mirror one another. The rhythm of the veins comes into its own on large kitchen countertops, islands, wall cladding and bathroom vanity tops. In everyday use a damp cloth with a little neutral liquid soap is enough, while hot cookware always needs a trivet.
