-Carola-

Quartz Turkey
Origin: Manisa Organised Industrial Zone (Belenco – Lotte Chemical plant)
In Carola, from Belenco's Pure series, short, fine grey veins and small specks are sprinkled evenly over a white background. The result discreetly recalls finely veined white marble, with the consistency and easy care of quartz – suitable for kitchen and bathroom countertops.

Description & Features

Carola also belongs to Belenco's Pure series, which the manufacturer associates with clean, understated elegance. Belenco, a brand of Lotte Chemical Turkey, uses the Bretonstone technology of the Italian company Breton at its plant in the Manisa Organised Industrial Zone. Carola has a white, slightly greyish background where small, fine grey veins and specks are spread evenly over the whole slab; in places the pattern becomes slightly denser, but without forming bold veins, so the overall effect stays calm and balanced. As a quartz-and-resin material it is non-porous: according to Belenco, water absorption is 0.04%, flexural strength ≥ 40 MPa (class F4), compressive strength about 230 MPa, and freeze–thaw resistance has been tested to EN 14617-5. According to the manufacturer's colour list it is available polished, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses and in Extra (152 × 310 cm) and Jumbo (165 × 330 cm) slabs. From the kitchen countertop and island to the bathroom vanity, splashbacks, stairs and interior floors, Carola covers the usual uses of a white quartz surface. Daily wiping with a damp cotton cloth and a little neutral liquid soap is enough; sealers and waxes are not needed, and hot cookware should always be placed on a trivet.
