-Marquina Tierra-
Description & Features
The name Marquina Tierra points to the classic black Nero Marquina marble, and its look confirms it: a deep, even black background with white veins that look painted with a fine brush. A few wider, crisp white lines cross the slab in long diagonal curves, while around them spreads a sparse web of very thin, faint greyish-white veins that add depth. It belongs to the Prestige series, developed by the design team and R&D centre of Belenco, the Turkish engineered-quartz company of the LOTTE group (Lotte Chemical) that manufactures in the Manisa Organised Industrial Zone with Bretonstone technology. Belenco's technical data give water absorption of 0.04%, density of 2.3–2.4 g/cm³, flexural strength above 40 MPa (class F4) and abrasion resistance class A4. Jumbo (165 × 330 cm) and Extra (152 × 310 cm) slabs, in 15, 20 and 30 mm thicknesses, allow large black surfaces with few joints; the finish is polished, while the Prestige series is also offered in matt Seta, with availability on request. It suits kitchen countertops and islands, bathrooms, high-contrast wall cladding and furniture. It is cleaned with a damp cotton cloth and a little neutral soap; it needs no sealing, but hot cookware should always sit on a trivet.
