-Blue Mountain Gusto-
Description & Features
Blue Mountain Gusto comes from the Gusto series of the Essence line, Coante’s premium quartz produced in Muğla, south-west Turkey, on Breton lines. Across an off-white background wind broad bands of veining from blue-grey to deep blue-charcoal, with a foamy, almost cellular texture and lighter grey fringes around them, while thin dark hairline veins branch through the white fields; the whole recalls the contour lines of mountains, as the name suggests. It is a compact material of quartz grains, resin and pigments, with water absorption below 0.07% (W4), flexural strength above 35 MPa (F4) and impact resistance above 3.36 J (20 mm specimen), according to Coante’s data. It is cut from Jumbo (330 × 164 cm) or Medium (310 × 152 cm) slabs, 15, 20 or 30 mm thick, with a polished or Leather surface; because the pattern is bold, it is worth planning the layout of the pieces on the slab in advance. It is ideal for kitchen islands meant to stand out, bathroom vanity tops and decorative wall panels. Care is simple: a damp cloth, a neutral cleaner for stubborn stains, a trivet for hot cookware and never any polishing or protective chemicals.
