For Cosmic, from the Starlight series of the Essence line, Coante draws inspiration from the infinity of space and the dark depth of the sky. The background is a deep, almost pure black, sparsely scattered with very small white and silver specks, like stars, that twinkle when they catch the light; with no veins or other patterns, the surface stays understated, with a discreet shimmer. The Turkish producer, founded in 2018 by the Ermaş group in Muğla, makes the slabs on Breton lines from quartz, polyester resin and pigments; according to its technical data the material is non-porous, with water absorption below 0.07% (W4), Mohs hardness 7, flexural strength above 35 MPa and chemical resistance class C4. It is available in polished and leather finishes, in Jumbo 330 × 164 cm and Medium 310 × 152 cm slabs, 15, 20 or 30 mm thick. Coante recommends it for surfaces from countertops to wall cladding; it suits kitchen and bathroom countertops, islands, feature walls and tables. A damp or microfibre cloth is enough for cleaning; abrasives, harsh chemicals and hot cookware without a trivet should be avoided.
